| The
Waterlase®
MD features an all-new MD laser technology
platform that heralds the next generation of dentistry
with superior clinical outcomes and a more pleasant
patient experience for many dental procedures.
The Waterlase® MD incorporates an extraordinary
set of innovative new features, as well as many
new features requested by laser owners from around
the world. The Waterlase® MD also features
an all-new chassis that contains components, materials
and design technology from the same creative minds
that put high-performance luxury automobiles on
the road (Mercedes Benz-AMG), and NASA’s
rockets into orbit (Northrup Grumman).
Featuring the most advanced,
state-of-the-art design ever introduced in laser
dentistry, the Waterlase® MD’s handpiece
is built using aerospace materials for extreme
durability and complete comfort. The all-new HydroBeam™
handpiece is a 360° fully rotating instrument
with exclusive contra-angle design and an ultra-low-mass
head for maximum visibility in the surgical field.
Plus, laser dentists can take advantage of an
exclusive ultra-white, shadow- free LED illumination
system. |
| The
old saying "A picture is worth a thousand
words" is so true. In the past, a dentist
would check your teeth and then explain their
findings in terms that were difficult for some
patients to understand. With the aid of this new
and exciting camera, our doctors and staff can
show you exactly what they are seeing.
Even better, the image is magnified
35 times its normal size and displayed on
a flat screen monitor. This dramatically improves
our ability to diagnose small cavities, dental
fractures and leaking fillings which allows for
earlier treatment and the prevention of more serious
problems. The intra-oral camera is also great
for before & after photos as well as supporting
documentation for insurance claims. You have
to see it to believe it. |
When the doctors and hygienists
work on your teeth, they will most likely be wearing
a funny looking pair of glasses. These are
actually surgical telescopes that allow them to
see and evaluate intricate details as they work.
These special "glasses" help us to make
tiny but important adjustments to the procedure
that would go unnoticed with the naked eye. They
are an invaluable tool in providing the most precise,
beautiful dentistry possible. |
| There
is an unstoppable revolution taking place in dental
radiology. For the first time in the 100-year-history
of dental radiography, an extraordinary new computer
technology surpasses the diagnostic abilities
of traditional film - and it does so with substantially
less radiation exposure for the patient and the
clinician.
This combination of computer
hardware and software creates the very best dental
X-Ray image from which we can diagnose with the
utmost confidence. |
| Studies
show that 50% of tooth decay goes undetected by
present diagnostic methods. The new KaVo DIAGNOdent
aids in diagnosing hidden decay more accurately
and confidently. Most tooth decay occurs in the
complex anatomy on the chewing surfaces where
deep pits and grooves are difficult to keep clean.
This also makes diagnosis with traditional methods
difficult, because the outer tooth surface often
appears to be intact.
The DIAGNOdent is a new high
tech laser system. It utilizes laser light
of a defined wavelength to help detect and quantify
demineralized tooth substances without x-ray exposure.
This revolutionary new device is easy to use and
turns caries detection into a harmless, measurable,
more reproducible and exacting procedure.
With DIAGNOdent the doctor
will be able to make better treatment decisions
earlier, whether they call for further watching
of suspect areas to monitor changes, preventive
measures or placing a small filling. With the
new KaVo DIAGNOdent, we are able to detect the
invisible. |
| We
know that some patients get more nervous than
others do at the mere sight of a needle and syringe.
That's why this office now performs anesthetic
injections with a revolutionary system called
The WAND.
The WAND is an excellent example
of our efforts to bring you the latest dental
technology, and to help all of our patients to
have a pleasant, positive visit to our office.
» It doesn't look like
a syringe.
» It doesn't feel like a syringe. |
| The microprocessor inside
The WAND automatically ensures a steady flow rate
regardless of tissue density. Constant, slow
flow is one key to virtually painless injections.
The computer provides a flow
of anesthetic directly ahead of the needle. This
creates a "pathway of anesthesia" s
you hardly feel the needle at all. |
